Natural Mystic Spa is celebrating one year of harmonious healing at Marley Resort & Spa in Nassau, The Bahamas. The spa, which opened its doors in June 2008, has created a palpable vibe of spiritual and physical connection at the resort, fusing inspiration from Bob Marley’s classic lyrics with holistic and traditional healing methods.
Natural Mystic Spa is a nurturing, healing, intimate, safe haven, offering the ultimate connection and immersion with all things natural. The indigenously designed spa is located in a private area in the left wing of the resort. Treatments, menus, and products serve to liberate the authentic Bahamas location, while blending ancient and contemporary beauty and health secrets from Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. Mind, body and spirit become one in natural renewal.
Natural Mystic Spa’s featured services are inspired by techniques and protocols from Caribbean Essentials product and treatment line. Completing the global influence are products from Africa (Africology) and Asia (Sabi Sabi).
Beginning the healing journey at the Natural Mystic Spa is an Akwaaba Welcome Ceremony, which delicately cleanses the feet – signifying purification of spirit. Welcome “Touch” massage continues the sensory experience. Natural Mystic Spa’s signature herbal bath brews include the popular Royal Rita, which has orange blossom, red clay and rose petals as just some of the healing raw ingredients. Mystical Caresses massages include the Natural Mystic Touch, Freedom to Heal and Easy Rock Steady.
Scrubs and wraps integrate natural elements, such as the Blue Mountain coffee, cinnamon, sweet orange and vanilla used in the One Cup of Coffee Scrub. Cerassie, island mints and aloe are the natural elements in the Island Mint Tea Scrub, along with the mouth-watering ingredients in the Mocha Rum Wrap.
Spa packages like the The Natural Mystic Journey include a bathing experience, massage, wrap and tropical rain shower. The One Love is the zenith in spa packages, featuring a Rock Steady Massage, Caribbean Mocha Rum Wrap and Herbal Bathing Experience. A Spa Martini, a unique concept at the Natural Mystic Spa, is included in all packages.
At the Natural Mystic Spa, a total of three color-themed, intimate treatment rooms offer sanctuary. The Wata Passage Area offers two oversized baths for couples, a steam room, cold plunge and Jacuzzi. Upstairs sits the manicure/pedicure room and a delicious tea lounge. The Greetings Lounge reception area is filled with exciting, healing spa products that guests can take home to continue their mystic journey.
Architectural and décor influences from the Caribbean and Africa are visible throughout the resort and spa. Sculptured hand-carved doors, mosaic tiles, intricate stonework and sandstone walls exude warmth and intimacy.
Multi-functional treatment rooms radiate with signature colors. The “Blue Room” is a wet treatment room that creates synchrony with the blue energy of water. The Yellow Room is an intimate treatment room (excluding wet treatments) exuding hope and positivity. The Red Couples Treatment room balances the passion of the base chakra and its red energy of love.
Bath rituals start at $45USD. Beauty and waxing treatments begin at $15. Wraps and scrubs are priced starting at $60, and facials from $90. Sumptuous packages pamper at $220, which includes a various herbal baths, massages and renewal wraps, ending with herbal tea infusions and decadent treats.
